
Chiara’s LII (Laser Induced Incandescence) Experiment
Work hours here are slightly different from Europe. At the university the students arrive late (as in Germany), but they also do stay very long. The cafeteria serves dinner and the bigger student offices all have some place to sleep, a refrigerator and at least rudimentary cooking devices and/or a microwave. Since there are also showers somewhere nearby you can actually “live” here and it is not uncommon to stay over night. This may seem very diligent but in fact people here are also human, so most don’t spend the whole time working…
