Shinjuku

Last weekend I went to a skyscraper nearby the one mentioned in the previous entry. I visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in western Shinjuku. This building has two towers and in each tower there is an observation platform.
I chose the south tower. Unfortunately that means I don’t have a photo of the Park Hyatt Hotel mentioned in the previous entry.

After enjoying the spectacular view of the city (for free, since it is a public building), I went to the nearby Japanese Sword Museum.

This however was disappointing. It consists of a single room of maybe 70 m2 and you are not even allowed to take pictures of the swords.

None the less I took some in the entrance lobby, where I suppose it is allowed. The pictures show the steps in the manufacturing process of a Katana.
